Understanding Grading Models

How scores translate to letter grades

What is a Grading Model?

Defines how numerical scores are converted to letter grades (A, B, C, D, F).

Creating a Grading Model:

  1. Go to Academic → Grading Models
  2. Name your model
  3. Define grade scales with score ranges
  4. Assign GPA equivalents (optional)
  5. Set as active
  6. Example Grade Scale:

    • A: 80-100 (Excellent)
    • B: 70-79 (Very Good)
    • C: 60-69 (Good)
    • D: 50-59 (Pass)
    • F: 0-49 (Fail)
    • Multiple Grading Models:

Create different models for different school levels (Primary vs Secondary).

Only one model can be active at a time. Students' scores are automatically graded using the active model.
