1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Skool Circle, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our platform.

These terms apply to all users, including school administrators, teachers, staff, parents, and guardians.

2. Account Registration

To use Skool Circle, your school must create an account. When creating an account:

• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You must be authorized to represent your school
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

One account per school. Multiple users can be added with appropriate role-based permissions.

3. School Obligations

As a school using Skool Circle, you agree to:

• Obtain appropriate consent from parents or guardians before inputting student data
• Ensure all data entered is accurate and lawful
• Comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and other applicable laws
• Not use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
• Train your staff on proper use of the platform
• Respond to parent requests regarding their children's data

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Share your login credentials with unauthorized persons
• Scrape, copy, or download data for unauthorized purposes
• Reverse engineer or decompile our software

5. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to Skool Circle. The platform may be unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice)
• Emergency maintenance or security updates
• Technical issues beyond our control
• Force majeure events

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of Skool Circle at any time. We will provide reasonable notice before making material changes that affect your use of the platform.

6. Intellectual Property

Skool Circle and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all data you input into Skool Circle. You grant us a limited license to use this data solely to provide our services to you.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our platform without written permission.

7. Payment Terms

Pricing for paid plans is available on our pricing page. By subscribing to a paid plan:

• You agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen plan
• Payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• You can cancel your subscription at any time
• Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.

8. Limitation of Liability

Skool Circle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for loss of data, revenue, or profits
• We are not liable for service interruptions or security breaches

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skool Circle and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the platform
• Your violation of these Terms of Service
• Your violation of any laws or regulations
• Your violation of third-party rights
• Data you input into the platform

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination:

• Your access to Skool Circle will be revoked immediately
• Your data will be retained for 90 days for recovery purposes
• After 90 days, all data will be permanently deleted
• You can request immediate data deletion

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in conduct that we deem harmful to our platform or other users.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in Nigerian courts.

We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes amicably before pursuing legal action.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify school administrators via email.

Continued use of Skool Circle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the platform and close your account.
