School and Administrator Information

When you create a school account, we collect: school name, address, contact information, administrator names, email addresses, and phone numbers.

Student Information

Schools may input student data including: names, admission numbers, date of birth, gender, addresses, parent/guardian contact information, photos, academic records, attendance records, health information, and fee payment records.

Staff Information

Information about teachers and staff including: names, email addresses, phone numbers, assigned classes, and role permissions.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you use Skool Circle, including: IP addresses, browser type, device information, pages visited, features used, and timestamps of activities.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Skool Circle platform
• Process and manage student records, results, and attendance
• Generate report cards and academic documents
• Process fee payments and generate receipts
• Send email and SMS notifications to parents and staff
• Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
• Improve and optimize our platform
• Ensure security and prevent fraud
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your data to anyone. We only share data with trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate our platform:

Google Workspace

For email delivery (Gmail), document storage (Google Drive), and calendar synchronization. Google's use of your data is governed by their privacy policy.

Cloudinary

For storing and optimizing student photos and school documents. Data is encrypted and stored securely on Cloudinary's servers.

Payment Processors

Payment information is processed through secure payment gateways. We do not store credit card information on our servers.

SMS Providers

For sending SMS notifications to parents. Only phone numbers and message content are shared.

All third-party providers are carefully selected and required to maintain appropriate security measures. We may also disclose information when required by Nigerian law or to protect our rights and safety.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your school account is active. When you close your account, we retain data for 90 days to allow for account recovery. After 90 days, all data is permanently deleted from our systems and backups.

Schools can request immediate data deletion by contacting us at support@eskoolnow.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

5. Your Rights Under NDPR

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
• Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Right to Object: Object to certain types of data processing
• Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing at any time

6. Security Measures

7. Children's Privacy

Skool Circle is designed for use by schools to manage student information. Schools are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from parents or guardians before inputting student data into our platform.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Parents and guardians can access their child's information through Parent Circle and can request corrections or deletion by contacting their school or us directly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify school administrators via email. Continued use of Skool Circle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
